Yoga, Nia and Sound fuel a passion for life within me. I began exploring holistic movement practices in 2009 and am honored to share these nourishing and mind balancing practices with you. I began my committed practice and study of Yoga in 1986, and have been a daily devotee since that time. To educate is to draw out intrinsic knowledge, and in both practice and teaching, this has been my goal. My style is eclectic, reflecting the different teachers and approaches I have studied, and my first-hand experience of living and practicing in an aging body! My primary focus is to encourage trust in each student’s innate wisdom; encouraging them to make their practice their own through cultivating inner awareness.

I have been teaching yoga for 16 years with all ages and stages of people. I love to help people learn about their bodies and how to move and grow with each step. I learn so much from everyone I teach it’s a true gift!

I started practicing yoga in the 1970’s. I re-committed to a daily asana practice and to studying yoga philosophy about 15 years ago. I achieved a 200-hour teacher training certification in 2011. I began teaching in 2010, specializing in gentle, restorative, and yoga for “seniors”. I actively continue my yoga education through on-line courses and on-site workshops. I am honored to be a part of the Shakti Soul community.

“Motion is a Sanctuary” I find sanctuary in the flowing dance of body, breath and energy that is yoga. It is my intent to bring this flow to my classes.
I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training in the spring of 2011 and have been teaching ever since. My exploration and understanding of yoga comes not only from workshops and classes, but from the insight and inspiration of my students and from the pursuit of all things outdoors in this wonderful spot in the world I call home.

My lifelong passion for dance includes 10 years of dance experience; classical ballet training, Mexican folkloric dance, flamenco, contemporary and lyrical dance. Also offering Kids Creative Movement with Foundations in Ballet.
