“As we move our bodies, we move energy and our vibrational presence extends into the choreography of our life. Tune into your body. Move as an act of love. Recognize the subtle power pulsing within your heart.”

Yoga, Nia and Sound fuel a passion for life within me. I began exploring holistic movement practices in 2009 and am honored to share these nourishing and mind balancing practices with you. Deep gratitude and grace to my students, communities and teachers for illuminating the vast possibility within my soul.

“Tyann, I love how you teach us to listen to what our body wants on any given day and provide an atmosphere of relaxed comfort. You easily and smoothly transition from one pose to another and allow us to move with you as you demonstrate. You provide clear instructions. Thank you for professionalism and skill, along with your open heart.” – Pat Mcleod

“Together in the yoga practice we may seek perfect balance between effort and ease, and nurture a flowing and flexible body, mind, and spirit.”

I began my committed practice and study of Yoga in 1986, and have been a daily devotee since that time. To educate is to draw out intrinsic knowledge, and in both practice and teaching, this has been my goal. My style is eclectic, reflecting the different teachers and approaches I have studied, and my first-hand experience of living and practicing in an aging body! My primary focus is to encourage trust in each student’s innate wisdom; encouraging them to make their practice their own through cultivating inner awareness.

“Laura was my first yoga teacher and she opened up a whole new world for me. She is wonderful at introducing students to all the basic poses, and assisting students in trying new positions in a safe and supportive manner.” – Kris Newgard

“Hatha Yoga, sun and moon bringing mind, body and breath together.”

Come to your mat with an open mind and a full heart as you move and go within.

I have been teaching yoga for 16 years with all ages and stages of people. I love to help people learn about their bodies and how to move and grow with each step. I learn so much from everyone I teach it’s a true gift!

“I have attended Tracy’s Hatha Yoga class for nearly 10 years, not always faithfully, but always gratefully. The class is designed to allow beginners to join at anytime and easily find poses and practices at their level. The wonderful surprise is that students who have attended for years can do the exact same thing. I always leave class feeling refreshed and centered.” – Jennifer Richardson

“My intention is to cultivate compassion, one breath at a time.”

I started practicing yoga in the 1970’s. I  re-committed to a daily asana practice and to studying yoga philosophy about 15 years ago. I achieved a 200-hour teacher training certification in 2011. I began teaching in 2010, specializing in gentle, restorative, and yoga for “seniors”. I actively continue my yoga education through on-line courses and on-site workshops. I am honored to be a part of the Shakti Soul community.

“The reason I am in yoga is to increase muscle mass, to relax and to be more balanced physically and mentally. Betty facilitates all of that. She’s a lot of fun, an expert who doesn’t take herself too seriously.”” Cheryl Jurgens

“Motion is a Sanctuary” I find sanctuary in the flowing dance of body, breath and energy that is yoga. It is my intent to bring this flow to my classes.

I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training in the spring of 2011 and have been teaching ever since. My exploration and understanding of yoga comes not only from workshops and classes, but from the insight and inspiration of my students and from the pursuit of all things outdoors in this wonderful spot in the world I call home.

“Michelle is very creative so each class is unique. She is well-prepared and has a theme which is fun and helpful as a point of focus. Her teaching is filled with a great sense of play and humor.” – Kris Newgard
